A group of Muslims are doing something different this Eid: Check to know what it is!

June 4: In an effort to reach out to people of Mangalore city on the occasion of Eid, a group of Muslims have decided to distribute 1,000 sweet boxes to non-Muslims on June 5.
A team from Mangalore has come together to make 1,000 Eid gift boxes and distribute as ‘packets of happiness’ to non-Muslims in Mangalore. A plan has been set and several teams have been set for this deed. As per the plan, after offering Eid prayers in the morning, 10 teams each comprising of 2-3 members with 100 boxes of sweets will go around prominent streets.
The distribution of sweet boxes will begin from the office of the city police commissioner and teams would meet MLA Vedavyas Kamath at his office and visit Bajrang Dal office, church and bhajan mandirs. They have even  planned to reach out to all public servants, police stations post offices, rickshaw and bus drivers and passersby.
having written Eid Mubarak in Hindi, Kannada and English, the boxes have a message in Kannada that reads: Anyone who is against humanity, Allah will not be happy with you.” The sweet box consists of  juice, moong dal, cup cake, chocolate and dry fruits. This initiative has been sponsored by Bearys Institute of Technology.
