Air India Introduces Its Second Daily Flight Between Mangalore & Mumbai: Click For Details

Air India has introduced its second daily flight between Mumbai and Mangalore. Now, both the airlines, IndiGo and Air India collectively operate five daily flights on this much travelled sector.

Air India flight 1679 departs from Mumbai at 12.40 pm to reach Mangalore at 2.10 pm. On the return leg, AI 1680 leaves Mangalore at 2.50 pm to reach Mumbai at 4.35 pm. The inaugural leg of this flight saw 182 passengers arrive on AI 1679 and 167 passengers leave for Mumbai on AI 1680. The other Air India flight AI 679 leaves Mumbai at 5.45am to reach Mangalore at 7.20am. Flight AI 680 leaves Mangalore at 7.55am and arrives in Mumbai at 9.35am.

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) data states that in 2022, the highest number of 4.94 lakh domestic travellers flew between Mumbai and Mangalore. This translates to around 42,000 passengers flying every month on an average in this sector.
