Anannya Rao, a 2024 batch Mechanical Engineering graduate from the National Institute of Technology – Karnataka (NIT-K), Surathkal, and a former NCC cadet, has been commissioned into the Indian Navy as Sub-Lieutenant.
Following a 10-month intensive military training program at the Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala, Anannya, from Mangalore was formally inducted into the Navy during the Passing Out Parade held on May 31.
Anannya’s experience as a NCC cadet at NIT-K and her foundation in engineering fuelled her aspiration to serve the country. Her success in military examinations and training stands as a proud achievement in her journey.
