Anti Corruption Bureau officials arrest accounts superintendent for bribery

April 27: ACB (Anti Corruption Bureau) sleuths have arrested a superintendent of accounts who is working at the Department of Collegiate Education in Bangalore. He was arrested for demanding a bribe of Rs 2.50 lakh for carrying out an audit of the Bettampady Government First Grade College, in Puttur.
It is alleged that Lokesh demanded a bribe of Rs 2.50 lakh from the college Principal Radhakrishna Bhat for carrying out the audit and had asked the principal to meet him at a lodge in Surathkal with the cash. the principal had filed a complaint with the ACB. The sleuths from ACB caught him red-handed while accepting the cash.
