Beautification of BC Road to Finally Begin: This is The Plan

October 17: MLA Rajesh Naik had earlier expressed a desire to beautify B C Road but failed to get grant from the previous government. However he had promised to take up the work with the help of CSR fund.
MLA Rajesh Naik recently said that Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa has announced a special grant of Rs 5 crore for the purpose. Further, Rs 10 crore from the CSR funds will be utilised for the beautification of B C Road.
The foundation stone for the work will be laid below the flyover by District In-charge Minister Kota Srinivas Poojary, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel and Revenue Minister R Ashok will take part.
The national highway that passes through B C Road lacks footpaths and parking facilities. MLA Naik said that it has been decided to lay tiles below the flyover and also construct toilets and a garden. Along with this, drinking water unit will also be installed below the flyover.

As per the plan, the service road will be developed and unauthorised structures will be removed. Street lights and CCTV cameras will be installed. Bus bays will be developed at five places and parking for two-wheelers and autorickshaws will be developed, he said.
