Bishop Saldanha felicitated Forest officers and Team: Click to know why

July 4: Bishop Saldanha distributed 77,996 sapling to 124 parishes in kasargod and Dakshina Kannada within 20 days. these sapplings were planted from June 30. Organisers will collect more plants and redistribute to those who need the sapplings.
A Vrakshavandan 2019 progeramme was organized by Diocese of Mangalore at Bishop’s House on Wednesday to felicitate the Forest officers, Team Leaders and Volunteers who strived to supply these 77,996 sappling to 124 parishes.
Mangalore Bishop Rev Fr Peter Paul Saldanha precided over the programme and congratulated the entire team for their active involvement in the campaign.
This effort of the Bishop to conserve the nature was appreciated bu Udupi RFO Clifford Lobo. He alsso highlighted the benefits of  teak wood as well the impact of Vrakshavandan campaign.
