BJP District Legal Cell to file a complaint against few students from Kerala

April 13: BJP District Legal Cell President K S Joshi said that several cases of violation under Representation of People Act has come to light and BJP District Legal Cell will file a complaint against the accused with the district returning officer and also with the police department.
The Barke police have already filed two sets of chargesheets against five accused before the JMFC – III court on March 8, 2019 and March 16, 2019 based on a complaint by BJP workers Praveen Shet and Girish Kottary in the last Assembly elections.These students from Kerala had obtained election identity card in Mangalore and Kerala both, which is an election malpractice. Cases against six more are pending and an additional chargesheet will be filed as soon as MCC receives information about six other youth.
He even said that said that the possession of dual identity card and false declaration amounts to the violation of section 31 of Representation of People Act 1950.
