BJP will be reduced to single digit in Karnataka: D K Shivakumar
April 15: While speaking to reporters in Mangalore, D K Shivakumar, Minister for Water Resources said that the BJP will be reduced to single digit in Karnataka in the Lok Sabha elections. He said that the BJP had formed a government on the basis of false promises and the Congress – JD(S) coalition will not allow BJP to win more than one seat in Karnataka.
He demanded that sitting MP of Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency Nalin Kumar Kateel should provide a report card on his contributions to the district in past 10 years. He said that Nalin had failed as an MP to represent the district in the Parliament and should be prevented from becoming an MP again. He claimed that Nalin as an MP, did not get any Central government – sponsored grants for the promotion of tourism in the district. Although the BJP claims credit for Smart City Mission and AMRUT Scheme, the state government had not received any grant under the Smart City Mission, he mentioned.
He urged the voters in Dakshina Kannada to support young and able Congress – JD(S) candidate Mithun Rai.
