Blackbuck Pelt & a Pair of Horns Found in Mangalore Near Bejai: Four Arrested

September 24:  Mangalore Special Police Forest Mobile Squad personnel on a tip-off that blackbuck pelts will be sold in the city visited the KSRTC bus stand in Bejai and arrested four men as well as seized two blackbuck pelt and a pair of horns.

The arrested have been identified as – Ravi Hanumanthappa (32) and Mallappa (32) of Datanal in Navalgund in Dharwad; Tipu Sulthan alias Munna (33) of Sevalal Nagara, Gadag; and Parashuram Lamani (32) of Sevalal Nagara – who tried to flee from the spot.
The men were arrested under the Wildlife Conservation Act and handed over to Mangalore range forest officials for further action.
