Brahmakalashotsava rituals at Kadri Temple begin: Horekanike procession Tomorrow

May 2: Brahmakalashotsava rituals at Kadri Sri Manjunatha Temple will begin from today, May 2. On account of Brahmakalashotsava, horekanike committee has geared has up to collect donations from devotees in the form of cash and kind. More than 30 horekanike centres have been set up across Mangalore city where devotees can contribute items to mass feed an estimated 1.25 lakh devotees who would visit the temple daily.
The various items collected at these centres will be brought to the temple in a grand procession in more than 120 to 150 vehicles. The procession will start at 3 Pm from Nehru Maidan on Friday, May 3.
The horekanike procession will be flagged off by Dr A J Shetty, Managing trustee of the temple, Ravi Shetty owner of Sai Palace Hotels, Pradeep G Pai MD Hangyo Ice Cream. The procession will take place from Nehru Maidan,zK S Rao road, Navbharath circle, Mallikatte and then reach the temple.
