Cafe Coffee Day founder VG Siddhartha goes missing from Mangalore

July 30: VG Siddhartha, the founder of Cafe Coffee Day and son-in-law of former Karnataka chief minister SM Krishna has been missing since Monday night. Sources said that he had arrived at 8pm from Bangalore in his SUV and had asked the driver to go to the Ullal bridge from where he went missing.
Mangalore City Police Commissioner Sandeep Patil said that he had left Bangalore saying he was going to Sakleshpur but on the way, he told the driver to go to Mangalore. After reaching the Ullal bridge, he got down from the car and asked his driver to drive a little further and stop as he wants to  come walking on the bridge but did not reach.
Commissioner Patil said that over 200 personnel, including 25 swimmers, have been pressed into service to locate him.
