Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy didn’t meet missing fishermen’s family: MLA K Raghupathi Bhat

April 9: MLA K Raghupathi Bhat has alleged that JD(S) candidate for Lok Sabha election Pramod Madhwaraj, has hosted lunch for Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy at his house but failed to facilitate a meeting with the families of fishermen who were missing since December 15.
Bhat said that even though the house of two missing fishermen was just a kilometre away from the National Highway 66, the Chief Minister did not have the courtesy to meet them and Madhwaraj did not make any effort to facilitate interaction.
Bhat stated that Madhwaraj urged leaders from various communities to participate in the rally planned at Karkala but did not invite the families of the missing fishermen. Kumaraswamy did not meet senior officials in the Indian Navy to enquire about the missing fishermen, he alleged.
