Coastal Karnataka Likely to Receive Pre-monsoon Showers on March 11 & 12: Click For Details

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that pre-monsoon showers are expected over south-interior and coastal Karnataka on March 11 and 12.

According to the synoptic features for Karnataka, an upper air cyclonic circulation lies over the north-east equatorial Indian Ocean and adjoining south-east Bay of Bengal and extends upto 5.8 km above the mean sea level. Besides, light to moderate south-easterlies prevail over the State in the lower tropospheric levels.

The IMD has forecast isolated light rain and thundershowers are very likely to occur over Kolar, Bengaluru Urban, Bengaluru Rural, Chickballapur, Tumakuru, Ramanagara, Mandya, Mysuru, Chamarajanagar, Kodagu, and Hassan districts of south-interior Karnataka and Dakshina Kannada and Udupi of coastal Karnataka on March 11.
