Collection of Parking Fee at Kateel Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple Stopped: This is The Reason

The vehicle parking fee collection at Kateel Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple that began on January 1 has been stopped temporarily by deputy commissioner Ravi Kumar M R. Devotees, who visited the temple in vehicles, had to pay a fee to park their vehicles at the space provided in Kateel. The temple authorities had awarded the contract to collect parking fees at the temple parking space on December 28.

Sources said the parking fee of Rs 30 was being collected from light motor vehicles, Rs 10 from two-wheelers and Rs 50 from heavy vehicles. Based on complaints from devotees from several parts of the states, the DC directed the temple to take necessary action. In turn, the temple sent a letter to the contractor to stop parking fee collection.
