Congress-JD(S) to have a separate Election Manifesto for Dakshina Kannada

MLC Ivan D’Souza while addressing the reporters on Tuesday said that the Congress-JD(S) coalition will bring out a separate elections manifesto for Dakshina Kannada within two days.
He said that the following issues will be included in the manifesto:
The issues on granting a separate railway division for Mangalore, development of ports, withdrawal of the decision to privatise the Mangalore International Port, setting of an IIT, retaining the name of Vijaya Bank, rehabilitation of beedi workers and providing employment to the local youth.
He said all the promises will be fulfilled if the Congress – JD(S) coalition candidate Mithun Rai wins the upcoming Lok Sabha election
He mentioned that after the Congress decided to field Mithun Rai as its candidate for Dakshina kannada, a new wave has started in the district and wave will be retained till the end to convert it into votes during the election.
