Congress Unit in Udupi & Dakshina Kannada District stage a protest: Click to know why

July 21: The Dakshina Kannada DCC unit members staged a protest in front of the Congress office in Mallikatte against the Uttar Pradesh government for detaining Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi.
Priyanka had come to meet the families of the victims Sonbhadra tragedy but was stopped from meeting them. Former minister Ramanath Rai said that detention of Gandhi is anti-democratic. There has been increase on atrocities against the poor.
Congress leader Nagesh Udyavar accused the UP government for being autocratic. Vice president of Congress women district wing, Jyoti Hebbar accused Yogi of misusing the power andsaid that BJP is following double standards.
