Congress will scrap electoral bonds if voted to power: KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao

April 2: KPCC president Dinesh Gundu Rao said that The Congress will scrap electoral bonds if voted to power. He said  that the move by the Centre to raise party funds through electoral bonds lacks transparency. He criticised that the names of people who contribute more than Rs 2,000 need not be disclosed under the new scheme, whereas in the previous scheme, disclosure of names who contributed more than Rs 2,000 was mandatory.
He blamed the Central government saying that they had failed to implement the development programmes including ‘Jan Dhan’ and ‘PM Ujjwala Yojana’.
Gundu Rao challenged the BJP leaders to take part in a public debate regarding the achievements of the Modi government. He questioned the central government about the the 33% women reservation bill which has not been passed  even after the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha had given its in-principal approval.
