Conjunctivitis (Red Eye Infection) is Increasing in Coastal Region: Doctors Advise Precautions.

Conjunctivitis also known as red eye infection in increasing in coastal region. Conjunctivitis is a viral or bacterial infection. This causes inflammation of the upper part of white portion (Sclera) of the eye and the inside part of the eyelids which appear as red or rose coloured. This infection is highly contagious.

People living in Padua area were infected with conjunctivitis few days ago after which they were seen wearing glasses. Doctors have advised precautions which will avoid the risk of spread of the infection.

There is no definite treatment for this disease but doctors prescribe eye drops to reduce the intensity of the infection. The spread of conjunctivitis can be avoided by not touching the eyes frequently, washing the hands often and keeping away from the infected person.
