Countdown Begins For The Most Awaited Manipal Marathon: Check Out

The most awaited “Manipal mara thon 2023″ will  held in Manipal  on  February 12 from 5 am. Dr. HS Ballal,  provost of MAHE said that the 5th edition of the Manipal Marathon will be held on  February  12  in cooperation with the  Udupi District Amateur Athletic  Association  and NEB Sports Bengaluru. 

This marathon, is the largest one organised by students in the nation and attracts thousands of runners from all over the world. The 42k full marathon, 21k half marathon, 10k run, 5k Udupi District Police Drug Awareness run, and 3k Rotary fun run are just a few of the numerous types of marathons  that will be offered. 

This year’s edition will also mark the debut of a unique category for those with disabilities. There will be a special three-kilometer run  for people  with physical disabilities.  The purpose  of the event this  year is to raise  money and  awareness for people who require financial  support for their  treatment due to childhood cancer. The event has received backing from ICICI Bank, who  will serve as the Manipal Marathon’s title sponsor  in 2023.   The International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) and the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races have certified this  race’s course on a global scale (AIMS). A lot of athletes are competing  in this competition. This event attracts participants from abroad, which is  admirable. Our district’s athletes should participate heavily in this as well.
