Cricket betting in Mangalore: Bookie arrested

June 1: A bookie who was allegedly running an online cricket betting racket was arrested by  CCB officials. The arrested youth has been identified as Vishwas, a resident of Konaje and was absconding in Goa during the previous IPL matches. He was running online betting using Play 365 app. He was not only involved in cricket betting but also in gambling.
Police Commissioner Sandip Patil said that there were 18 cases of cricket betting were booked against him during the IPL season. A similar drive will be conducted during the World Cup matches. Commissioner Patil appealed to people not to get involved in cricket betting and lose their hard earned money.
