Dakshina Kannada District Gets Additional 25,800 Rapid Antigen Test Kits For Covid 19

August 11: The state government has sanctioned 25,800 rapid antigen test to Dakshina Kannada district. In addition RT-PCR laboratory is also opened at government Wenlock Hospital where COVID-19 testing is free of cost.
Dakshina Kannada has 66 primary health centres and 12 urban PHCs. In addition, these tests are also being carried out in six community health centres and taluk hospitals at Sullia, Puttur, Belthangady and Bantwal.
So far over 8,000 tests have been conducted through rapid antigen test kits. Out of these tests, 600 have tested positive.
