The government has transferred the Deputy Commissioners of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts, M.P. Mullai Muhilan and K. Vidyakumari, on Tuesday. It has posted H.V. Darshan and T.K. Swaroopa as DCs of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi, respectively. All transfers take immediate effect and will remain in force until further orders. The newly appointed deputy commissioners are expected to assume office shortly.

Mr. Muhilan was posted as the Inspector General of Registration and Commissioner of Stamps, Bengaluru. Mr. Darshan was the Additional Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, Bengaluru, while Ms. Swaroopa was the Director, e-governance, Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department, Bengaluru, before the latest posting.

The changes have been done as a part of a broader reshuffle involving 17 IAS officers across Karnataka, as per the government notification (No. e-DPAR 197 SAS 2025).
