DC Ravi Kumar Plans to Visit Beaches to Check on Food Hygiene & Violations: Much Needed

Dakshina Kannada Deputy commissioner Ravikmar M R has planned to visit all the beaches of Dakshina Kannada which is frequently visited by tourists, to check on food hygiene and violations. The decision has been taken after a surprise check by Ravikumar, which uncovered that several food stalls at Panambur Beach serving unhygienic food to tourists.

On Sunday, Ravikumar participated in the Swachha Sundara Beach programme held at Panambur Beach which was organised by Dakshina Kannada district administration along with other departments. Apart from unhygienic food and unclean places, Ravikumar also noticed that more than 10 food stalls were being operated without any license. The DC has asked the Mangalore City Corporation, revenue department, excise department and other departments , to check any violation at the beaches.
