Deep Sea Fishing Commences From August 1 After a Ban of Two Months
Deep sea fishing has commenced on August 1, Tuesday after a ban of two months that was in force from June 1 to July end. There are a total of 5037 mechanised boats in coastal Karnataka including 1,676 boats in Dakshina Kannada, 2,222 boats in Udupi and 1,139 mechanised boats in Uttara Kannada district.
Several trawl boats have ventured into fishing on Tuesday morning on Tuesday while purse-seine boat fishing will commence from August 4.
