Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman meets families of missing fishermen

Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman visited the residences of two of the fishermen who were on board on missing Suvarna Tribhuja fishing boat. The boast had ventured into fishing from Malpe in December last year. There were seven fishermen on board who are now missing. The minister said that Shobha Karandlaje had taken up the issue with her and that every effort was being made to search for the boat with the help of navy ships.
MP Shobha said that the Navy has agreed to conduct a search in the place where the fishermen want to search for the missing boat. She even said all demands of the families of missing fishermen’s have been accepted by the minister.
