Easter vigil celebrated with devotion across the district

April 21: Easter is a festival which commemorates the Resurrection of Lord Jesus Christ, after the Crucifixion. Christians across the districts gathered in their respective parishes to celebrate Easter Vigil on Saturday evening. The Holy Week which began with Palm Sunday on April 14, and ends with the Easter Sunday on April 21. Getting ready for Easter Sunday all through the Holy Week, people keep themselves busy in the preparation for the important day by feasting, fasting, and involving in lots of fun.
The congregation in all the churches lit Pascal candles and chanted the psalms and scriptures which resonated in the air.
