ELC-CFAL and Bharath Group to jointly focus on ‘child-centered learning’ at Bharath Academy

March 29: Early Learning Centre-Centre for Advance Learning (ELC-CFAL) and Bharath Group to jointly establish ‘Bharath Academy’ at Blueberry hills near Kuntikana. The institution would offer primary education in ICSE and IGCSE curriculum where the student to teacher ratio will be 1:15. The classes for grade-one would begin from the new academic year onwards.
The Learning Lab at Bharath Academy will include swimming, speed program, badminton training, chess classes, classical dance, music classes and an extensive Library. Real-time projects and highly qualified teaching would be added features.
Ananth G Pai from Bharath Group said that “The overall curriculum is inspired by Early Learning Centre (ELC), Center for Advanced Learning (CFAL) and other successful learning approaches. Bharath Academy campus will be spread on a sprawling four-acre,”
Vijay Moras, programme coordinator at ELC and CFAL said: “The academy enables children to do deep work and attain excellence in their chosen field by ensuring that they are regularly challenged, properly supported and given opportunities to find and develop their potential”.
As we know ELC was recently awarded ‘India’s promising preschools of the future’ an award with special recognition for innovation in the curriculum for the second time. ELC is the only school in Mangalore that has been awarded in this category.
Sudhir Pai of Bharath group said that The group has been contributing funds to educational institutions and it was the dream of the former MD of Bharat Group, B Ganapathy Pai to set up an educational institution. The group having an experience of 89-year in understanding the needs of the Mangalorean community has now ventured into education.
