Election officials raid Jayalaxmi Silks at Udyavar for selling Modi saris

April 2: Election officials raid Jayalaxmi Silks, a garment store at Udyavar on a suspicions that the store was selling saris having images of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The raid was carried out by Election officials at Jayalaxmi Silks after a bill showing ‘Modi sari’ was reportedly found, which was issued by the store. Sources said that the squad seized two saris with images of recent surgical strike on Balakot and image of PM Modi from the store.
The raid was carried out between 5 pm to around 9.30 pm. A case against store owner has been registered in Kaup police station.
