Electricity Bill Cannot Be Deferred For Three Months: MESCOM To Continue Billing As Usual

April 5: The Mangalore Electricity Supply Company (Mescom) has clarified that there have not received such directions from ministry of power, Centre or state government or ESCOMs regarding postponement of electricity bill payments and therefore the consumers cannot defer the payment of electricity bills for three months till June 2020.
MESCOM stated that it would be difficult to pay the generators for power purchase and to manage the day to day expenses if the payment from customers are delayed.
