EVMs cannot be electronically tampered: DC Sasikanth Senthil

April 8: The deputy commissioner and  District Election Officer Sasikanth Senthil said that the district has 1,861 polling booths. He said that a total of 2,236 control units, 2,236 ballot units and 2,495 VVPATs have been received in Dakshina Kannada district. Second randomisation of EVMs has been completed in the presence of the candidates.
The work on the commissioning of the EVMs with symbol loading will be held in the presence of BEL technical staff and candidates. This will be done on April 10 at 9.30 am at SDM PU College, Ujire; Dhavala College, Moodbidri; Rosario Educational Institutions, Pandeshwara; Canara High School, Urwa; Ramakrishna Educational Institutions, Mangaluru; Infant Jesus English Medium and Kannada Medium School, Modankaup and Government PU College, Sullia.
DC SEnthil stated that the EVM is foolproof and it cannot electronically tampered with as each vote is recorded in VVPAT.
