Extortion Case: 5 arrested by District Crime Investigation Bureau officials

Udupi: The District Crime Investigation Bureau (DCIB) officials have arrested five persons in connection with extortion & issuing life threat to an entrepreneur from Uppooru.
According to the police, a case was filed by the entrepreneur at Brahmavar police station on March 13. The arrested have been identified as Shashi Poojary alias Shadow, 28, from Mulki; Ravindra Poojary alias Vicky Poojary, 30, from Mulki; Dhanraj Poojary alias Dhanraj, 26, from Permamanki; Dhanraj Salian alias Dhanu Kola, 30, from Malpe; and Ullas Shenoy alias Ullas, 27, from Malpe. Shashi Poojary, was the mastermind behind the crime.
These have been previously found in the extortion cells for targeting rich businessmen, builders and entrepreneurs.
