Farmer killed by speeding train

May 3: A 75-year-old farmer who  had stepped out to hand over milk at a milk dairy was killed by a speeding train. The deceased has been identified as Narayan Shetty of Bandadi village in Kundapur taluk. The incident occurred near Kanyana-Bandadi on Wednesday.
As per the sources Shetty suffered from hearing impairment and problems related to vision. But he had never faced any problem while walking near the railway track to distribute milk.
A  case of unnatural death has been filed at the Kundapur rural police station andKundapur sub-inspector Sridhar Naik is investigating the case.
