Festive Season Begins: Public Gathering & Processions Restricted in DK

Ahead of Festive season which is here, DK district Deputy Commissioner Dr K V Rajendra said that public gatherings for celebrations, Processions will not be allowed  during festivals until the upcoming Dasara Festival. The decision has been taken in the wake of the possibility of a third Covid wave. The devotees will not be allowed to offer special poojas or sevas on the occasion of Nagara Panchami though religious rituals would be performed as usual by the priests but the rituals at the family Nagabanas have to be  arranged  in lines with the Covid protocols. The DC informed that the public will not be allowed to celebrate Krishna Janmashtami or Ganesha Chaturthi in public places.
