Fish waste water menace on roads of Mangalore City: Eight vehicles seized finally!

May 10: Eight vehicles transporting fish which were discharging waste water on the road were seized by police. The police started the process of disciplining vehicles which were discharging the nauseating fish waste water on the roads on Thursday.
City Police Commissioner Sandeep Patil has sent a notice to the notice to transporters about adhering to the orders of the National Green Tribunal (NGT). As according to NGT’s order, the waste water has to be diverted to containers and not discharged on the roads. Eight trucks which were not adhering to the rules of NGT and were discharging waste water on roads were seized by the police as mentioned in the notice.
