Fishing boat rescued by Coast Guard

April 3: Six crew members who were on fishing boat ‘Subay Chetna’ which was sinking off the Malpe coast were rescued by the Coast Guard who were in that area of operation. The Coastal security police Malpe sent a message to operations centre of Coast Guard district headquaters 3 regarding distress of the fishing boat.
The Indian coast Guard ship ‘Rajdoot’ which was on safety and security patrol off the Karnataka Coast immediately delivered to render assistance. At the same time, operations roon duty dstaff at DHQ3 also arranged for another fishing boat ‘Royal’ that was in the vicinity, to tow the fishing boat ‘Subay Chetna’ which was in distress. All the crew members on board have been rescued and are safe.
