Former techie from Ghaziabad who murdered wife and three children arrested in Udupi

April 25: A former techie from Ghaziabad who is accused of murdering his wife and three children surrendered to the Manipal police station on Monday night. Nisha James, Superintendent of Police said that Sumith Kumar, the accused, had committed the crime on Sunday and immediately boarded the train for Manipal.
He had left a video in his family WhatsApp group after committing the crime. He had later called his brother-in-law and said that he would kill himself.
Nisha James said that Ghaziabad police had informed the Udupi police about the incident. They arrived in Manipal on Wednesday and took the accused into custody. The accused was produced before the Udupi JMFC by the Ghaziabad police seeking permission to take him back to Ghaziabad, said the superintendent.
