Four Namma Clinics in Mangalore to Remain Open Till 8pm on Trial Basis: Click to Know

Health minister Dinesh Gundurao directed the department to change the timings for selected Namma Clinics considering the difficulties of labourers, who are not able to visit the centres during their duty hours. Three Namma Clinics in Mangalore city and one in Ullal will be made functional till 8pm, on a trial basis. The current outpatient timing of the Namma Clinics is from 9am to 4pm. While the district has 12 Namma Clinics, the health department has plans to make four of them functional during 8am–12pm in the morning and 4pm–8pm in the evening.

While Namma Clinics have been receiving good response, the government has been supplying all the emergency medicines to the centres. In addition, all primary treatments, dressings, and tests for malaria and other diseases are also done at the centres.
