Gandhinagar Park to get a much needed strong compound wall: MLA Vedavyas Kamath

Gandhinagar park which is one of the biggest park with good space in the residential area of Mannagudda in Mangalore is all set to get a strong compound wall. This park is a popular place for walkers, joggers & senior citizens to stretch to spend some time.

Corporator Jayanthi Achar in the presence of MLA D Vedavyas Kamath performed the ground breaking ceremony on Thursday. MLA Vedavyas Kamath stated that the work of the compound wall to be executed at a estimated cost of Rs 15.7 lakh.

He mentioned that he had received requests from several quarters for the overall development of the park including reconstruction of the compound wall.  He stated that the requests that were received will be taken into consideration and acted on in a phased manner. He also  mentioned that work of white topping the stretch of road from Mannagudda gurji to Urva Market junction will be taken up at a cost of Rs 3 crore after the general elections.
