Gangolli Fisheries Jetty To Be Rebuilt : Work To Commence Soon

September 7: Minister for Fisheries and Inland Transport Kota Srinivas Poojary said that the state cabinet has approved a proposal of Rs 12 crore to rebuild the Gangolli fisheries jetty. Rs 4 crore has already been released for the commencement of work.
Locals and the fishermen expressed displeasure regarding the collapsed jetty and breakwater which was recently constructed.
Minister Poojary said that the tender process has been completed. The blueprint of the rebuilding of the jetty and auction yard should be published in the port area for the information of the public, he added. The minister also mentioned that the quality of the work will be verified frequently.
