The Mangalore City Corporation has conducted a special drive to remove all illegal flex banners in different parts of the city. The drive was launched following several complaints from the public regarding the banners. The MCC has been removing commercial and congratulatory banners except for religious banners.

The team from MCC has removed illegal flex boards from several places including Nanthoor, Pumpwell, KPT and other places which obstructed traffic flow and visibility of oncoming vehicles.

MCC has also asked the MESCOM to disconnect power supply to illegal banners.
