Gold smuggled in the form of powder seized at MIA!

Customs officials seized over 1.5 kg gold worth Rs 49 lakhs at Mangalore International Airport.

As per the information received from the officials, three persons arrived by Air India flight IX814 from Dubai. They has concealed 24 karat purity gold in the form of powder in their rectum.

535.61 grams of gold worth Rs 17 lakhs was recovered from the first passenger, 505.04 grams of gold worth Rs 16.21 lakhs was seized from the second passenger & 491.46 grams of gold worth 15.77 lakhs was recovered from the third passenger.
