Good Friday observed across Churches in Mangalore

April 20: Thousands of devotees gathered at several churches in Mangalore to take part in the Good Friday prayer service on Friday, April 19.
Good Friday is among the most important days in the Christian calendar and parishes all over observe the occasion. The occasion begins with `Way of the Cross’. Church services include reading of the Passion of Christ, reciting a string of prayers, unveiling and veneration of the Cross and communion service.
Parishioners of Infant Mary Church in Bajjodi enacted a live and creative Way of the Cross at the Church grounds. Mangaluru Bishop Dr Peter Paul Saldanha took part in the Way of the Cross at St Joseph Church in Pezar.
