Good Response For at Home Voting For Persons Above 80 Years & Differently Abled in Udupi
The voting process for the elderly and disabled voters has been completed, and about 97% of the eligible population turned up to cast their votes. In Byndoor, Kundapur, and Karkala 98 percent of voters exercised their franchise, while Udupi and Kapu recorded 97 percent. Out of the total 4816 eligible voters, 4692 individuals exercised their right to vote.
On a positive note, the disabled community in Udupi witnessed a 100% voter turnout with 200 out of 202 people casting their votes while 2 were found to have passed away.
