Heavy Rain With Thunderstorm & Lightening in Mangalore: Several Roads in The City Flooded

Several parts of Dakshina Kannada including Mangalore city witnessed continuous & heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorm & lightening during the e early hours on July 30, Saturday. DC Rajendra declared holiday to schools & colleges coming under Mangalore city corporation limits.

Heavy rainfall has resulted in artificial floods at several areas in the city due to water clogging. Commuters found it difficult to move their vehicles on flooded & submerged roads. Water also gushed into the premises of Mangaluru Central railway station. Water clogging was witnessed at Pandeshwar, Shivanagar, Pumpwell, Kodialguttu, Kottara Chowki, Derebail, Padil and several low lying areas.
