India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted heavy rainfall over the next week in coastal, Malnad, and southern interior districts predicting heavy rainfall. The southwest monsoon has intensified once again in Karnataka and widespread heavy rain is expected across the state from today till July 20, with a yellow alert issued for the coastal districts.
Districts in the southern interior region — including Kolar, Mysuru, Chikkaballapur, and Chamarajanagar — are also likely to receive heavy rainfall, and a yellow alert has been issued for these areas as well.
