Heavy Rainfall Predicted in Coastal Districts: IMD Issues Yellow Alert

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) and the Karnataka State Natural Disaster Management Center, Bengaluru, have issued a yellow alert for Udupi district till June 8.

The southwest monsoon had advanced into some parts of the central Arabian Sea and some parts of Karnataka, Kerala, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Westcentral and Northwest Bay of Bengal. Due to the forecast of heavy rain in the coastal region of the state for the next five days, the District Disaster Management Authority has issued the following precautionary measures for the public:
