Helpline Opened in DK & Udupi Districts to Furnish Details About Family Members Stranded in Israel

Deputy Commissioners of Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts have asked the public concerned to provide information relating to their family members who are in Israel for education, employment or other purposes, in the wake of the Hamas attacks on the nation.

Six persons from Dakshina Kannada are stranded in war-torn Israel. Among them, five are from Ujire and 1 from Farangipete and all are serving as caretakers in Israel. The six are stranded at Herziliya, Tel Aviv, Batyam, Netanya, Ramat Hasharow and Hamoshava. The Udupi Deputy Commissioner has also said that administration as of now has no information regarding the exact number of people from the district who are in Israel.

In Dakshina Kannada, people can furnish information to the control room opened at the DC office in Mangaluru: 1077/0824 -2442590. Udupi Deputy Commissioner Vidyakumari has requested public to provide information by contacting control room – 1077 and 0820-2574802.
