Huge amount of cash seized from a bookie in Mangalore
June 6: Mangalore city police arrested a cricket bookie engaged in world cup cricket betting and seized Rs 7 lakh cash from him. The arrested has been identified as Keerthiraj. Along with cash, five mobile phones and a laptop has been seized from him.
City Police Commissioner Sandeep Patil has warned that strict action would be taken against all those involved in cricket betting relating to World Cup cricket matches.
