Indian Gaur Roaming In & Around Kadri: Forest Department Keeps Strict Vigil In The Area
A Indian Gaur was found roaming in and around Kadri after which the forest department has been keeping vigil on the area. The movement of the animal was noticed in CCTV footage in Kadri, Kaibattalu and Karavali lane on Sunday night.
Kadri ward corporator Manohar Shetty said he received calls from residents regarding the movement of the Indian Gaur in the area after which he immediately informed the forest department officials seeking their help.
During the day, the officials cannot carry out any operation because of the movement of people and it is risky too. Search operation will be conducted at night since the animal is likely to stray during night. The DCF said sighting of animals is normal because of the thick vegetation in the outskirts of the city.
