Indian Red Cross Society and District Administration together will tackle natural disaster during monsoon.

May 15: The Indian Red Cross Society has joined hands with the district administration to tackle any natural disaster during the monsoon. The Disaster Management Wing of the Red Cross Society in Dakshina Kannada has started preparing the volunteers. Almost 260 volunteers have been registered for the programme.
Red Cross Society Disaster Management Wing President Yathish Baikampady said that while registering of the names of the volunteers, their address and phone numbers have been collected. They will be trained in first aid and will be provided with details on measures to be taken during the disaster. Training will be imparted to volunteers in the respective taluk headquarters, he said.
